Cookies and site data

The short version

There is very little to tell. MUNDP does not advertise, does not run analytics and does not let anyone follow you from page to page. Nothing about your visit is sold, shared or used to build a picture of who you are.

What follows is the complete list of what this site can put on your device. You are welcome to check it against your browser’s developer tools, which is where we would start if somebody told us the same thing.

What the site stores

All but the last are ordinary browser storage rather than cookies, which is a technical distinction that makes no difference to your privacy, so we list them together.

  Holds a copy of a registration form you have started filling in, so a refresh, a closed tab or a dropped connection does not cost you the whole thing. It sits on your device and is not sent anywhere until you press submit.

  Cleared 30 days later, or the moment you submit the form

  Remembers whether you chose French or English on the OIF committee page, so it opens the way you left it.

  Stays until you clear your browser data

  Remembers whether you chose English or Turkish on the privacy notice.

• sessionCookie

  Keeps a member of the organising team signed in while they are working through registrations. It is only ever created after someone on the team logs in, so an ordinary visitor never receives one.

What the site does not do

• No advertising or marketing cookies. We have nothing to sell you.
• No Google Analytics, and no analytics of any other flavour. We genuinely do not count you.
• No tracking pixels. The social icons in the footer are ordinary links, and they only reach Facebook, Instagram, X or LinkedIn if you click one.
• Fonts are served from our own server, so Google never hears from your browser when a page loads.
• The Istanbul district map is drawn from data we host ourselves, not fetched from a mapping service.

The one thing loaded from elsewhere

The Conference Handbook is published through Adobe’s online reader. Adobe is a company we do not control, and their reader can set its own cookies once it starts running, so we do not load it on your behalf.

That page shows a card with a button instead. Nothing reaches Adobe until you press it, and if you would rather not, the handbook opens on Adobe’s own site in a new tab just as well.

Getting rid of all of it

Everything above lives in your own browser, which means you have the last word. Clearing site data for modelundp.org in your browser settings removes the lot in one go, and nothing here will argue with you about it.

If you only want to drop a saved form draft and leave the rest alone, this does exactly that and nothing else.

What happens to the information you send us through a registration or contact form is a different and longer story, and it has its own page: the privacy notice covers what we collect, who else sees it, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
